When asked about his plan for meeting Trump if England triumphs next year, James replied with a smile, "I don't have a plan. I'll leave that to Harry."
James expressed his enthusiasm for the World Cup, saying, "It's my dream, every young boy or girl's dream, to be a world champion for their country. It's something I've dreamt of since I started playing, since I got selected for England. I feel we could go close."
The English national team, also known as the Three Lions, made it to the latter stages of the World Cup in 2022 and performed well in the hot conditions. James noted that the team needs to adapt to the extreme heat and humidity they will face in the tournament.
"Everyone is aware of that," James said. "We are trying to prepare as best we can for that. It's super difficult conditions to play in that heat. Especially for us playing in England, there's not anything like that before."
James suggested that the team could benefit from later kick-off times when the heat and humidity are less intense.
While Trump's interruption may be a memorable moment next year, James and his team are more concerned about the weather conditions they will face in the tournament.
