Hojlund expressed his understanding that he was expected to play a lot of games due to injuries suffered by his teammate Anthony Martial. However, he emphasized that he wanted to play every game and that sharing the workload would have been helpful.
The 22-year-old striker acknowledged that he is still learning and developing his skills. He pointed out that not every player scores 100 goals by the age of 22, and that he has learned a lot from his experiences.
Hojlund also reflected on the team's performance last season, stating that it was tough for everyone. He acknowledged that he should have done better, but emphasized that it's also a team effort.
The team is now moving forward, with new signings and a focus on improving their attacking options. Hojlund is looking forward to the new season and is confident that the team is progressing in the right direction.
"I'm only 22, and people forget that sometimes," Hojlund said. "Not every striker scores 100 goals by that age. But I've learned a lot, and you can see it in my game. I'm starting to develop and become even better in the basics."
"Last season was tough on us all. I should have done better, everybody knows," he added. "But it's also a team thing. We're going to be better now. We are progressing in the right way and looking forward to what's coming."
