In a statement to fans, Mosquera reflected on the experience and the lessons he learned from it.
"Life can change quickly," Mosquera said. "One moment can turn everything around. I've spent my whole life dreaming of moments like this, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted."
Mosquera credited God with reminding him that faith is not about achieving a specific outcome, but about trusting in the process even after setbacks.
"This setback will make me stronger," Mosquera said. "My first season at this club has been unforgettable, and I'm grateful to be part of this team and this club."
Mosquera also expressed pride in his teammates and the club, saying "We still have so much to experience together."
His teammates Gabriel and Hincapie offered words of support, with Gabriel saying "Let's go together" and Hincapie saying "Let's keep going."
