Hancko joined Feyenoord from Sparta Prague in 2022 for €6 million. During his time in Rotterdam, he became a key player and a leader of the team. Hancko won the Dutch Eredivisie title in his first year and reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
Although Hancko won the domestic cup in his second season, he went trophyless in his last season with the club. The 50-time Slovakian international had interest in joining a team abroad and reportedly attracted attention from Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
Initially, Hancko was set to join Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, but the deal fell through. This left him without a new team, and Feyenoord felt Al Nassr's actions were unacceptable. Hancko played 140 games and scored 15 goals for Feyenoord over three years.
