Although he has been included in the matchday squads for games against Grimsby Town, Manchester City, Brentford, and Sunderland, Leon has not yet taken the field.
According to plans, United's management aims to help Leon reach a point where he will be ready to play in the Premier League.
U21 coach Travis Binnion commented on Leon's progress, saying, "It's clear that he has some good qualities and a strong foundation in his game that he needs to build on."
"He is aware, and we are all aware, that he needs to work on some areas," Binnion continued. "However, he hasn't played a full 90 minutes yet, and we will look to achieve that soon, which will be beneficial for him."
"If he can get a full 90 minutes of playing time, we will be able to assess his game and see where he stands," Binnion said.
At this point, Leon has shown promise and fitted in well with the team.
