The Premier League has confirmed that a goal scored by Florian Wirtz in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Sunderland on December 3 will not be credited to him.The goal, which came after a strike from Wirtz took a heavy deflection off Nordi Mukiele, was initially thought to be Wirtz's first Premier League goal since joining the team for a reported £116 million in the summer.

However, the Premier League has since confirmed that the goal will officially be credited as an own goal by Mukiele.

This means that Wirtz will not receive credit for the goal, which would have been his first in the Premier League since joining the team.
