“I'm really excited about this new chapter in my career,” Calvert-Lewin said in a statement. “It's like starting a new job, and I feel like a kid again, eager to learn and grow with the team.”
Calvert-Lewin has fond memories of playing at Elland Road, the home of Leeds United, and is looking forward to representing the club and its passionate fan base. “It's a massive football club with a huge following, and I'm excited to be a part of it,” he said.
Calvert-Lewin had a positive conversation with the manager before signing, which further convinced him to join the team. “The manager was a centre-forward himself, and he gave me a real understanding of the life of a striker,” Calvert-Lewin said. “I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the team to achieve great things.”
As a seasoned Premier League player, Calvert-Lewin believes he can bring new aspects to his game and continue to improve. “I'm excited to unlock new facets of my game and bring a fresh perspective to the team,” he said.
