Campbell, who spoke to GOAL, thinks Kai has the potential to play for the first team and has been making a positive impact in his matches.
He said: "That would be fantastic. He's played up for the 18s and the 23s this season, I think. He's doing really, really well." Campbell also praised Kai's father, saying that if he's anything like Wayne Rooney, it would be great for the club and the fans to see another Rooney player.
Wayne Rooney has also spoken about his son's football career, saying that he's just letting Kai play and enjoy the game without putting too much pressure on him.
Rooney said: "I just let him play. I think they started the competition well, they won 3-0, he scored the penalty and got an assist. So I think he started OK. He just plays and that's all he's done during his time playing."
Only time will tell if Kai will follow in his father's footsteps and become a professional footballer, but for now, he's enjoying the game and making a positive impact on the pitch.
