"I played handball in the mornings and soccer in the evenings," Woltemade explained. "Handball helped me develop a good feeling in my upper body, which I believe has benefited me in soccer. The hand-eye coordination and footwork I learned in handball have also helped me on the pitch."
Woltemade has also addressed the topic of his transfer fee, which has been a subject of discussion. He emphasized that the amount paid for his transfer does not affect his performance on the pitch.
"I didn't choose this situation," Woltemade said. "I'm not responsible for the transfer fee. What matters to me is that Newcastle saw potential in me and was willing to invest in my abilities."
Woltemade observed that the perception of transfer fees differs between the Premier League and the Bundesliga. In England, the focus is on the player's performance rather than the transfer fee. Within the team, the fee is not a factor at all, according to Woltemade.
