The agreement extends Giraldez's deal until 2027, marking his third renewal since joining the club as a B-team coach last year.
The main change in the new contract is the introduction of a more severe penalty for either party if they choose to unilaterally activate the release clause at the end of the current season.
Giraldez had expressed his intention to renew his contract with the club in early September, stating that he had been in talks with the president and sporting director since May.
In a statement at the time, Giraldez emphasized his commitment to staying with Celta Vigo, saying "I'm where I want to be," and expressed his desire to continue leading the team beyond the current season.
