Gyokeres is known for his goal-scoring ability, having scored 97 goals in just 101 games for Sporting Lisbon. Manager Mikel Arteta is hoping that Gyokeres can continue this form in the Premier League.
In a video posted on Arsenal's social media, Gyokeres can be seen reading a letter from captain Martin Odegaard. However, Gyokeres jokingly interrupts the letter to state exactly what he needs at his new club to succeed.
Odegaard's message read: "If there's anything you need or any way I can help, just give me a shout." Gyokeres interjected: "Some assists, please, would be nice." He then continued reading the letter, which ended with "Looking forward to working together and sharing success in the season ahead. All the best, Martin."
Gyokeres then added: "Very nice. The only thing I need is some assists." The addition of Gyokeres is a significant move for Arsenal, and with the help of his teammates, he may be able to find the back of the net and contribute to the team's success.
Arsenal's summer spending has now reached about £204m, with the arrivals of several new players, including Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, and Cristhian Mosquera.
With Gyokeres on board, Arsenal's title hopes may not be out of reach, especially if he can find the back of the net with the help of his teammates.
