El Khannouss joined Leicester from KRC Genk last summer for a reported €22.5 million. He was praised by former Foxes boss van Nistelrooy for his creativity and work rate off the ball. El Khannouss has the potential to become a top player in Europe, as he has already won the award for Genk's Player of the Season in 2023/24.

Both Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig are in negotiations to sign El Khannouss, who is considered an incredible talent. The two teams are looking to replace either Eze or Simons before the new season begins.
