According to reports, Schlotterbeck has a release clause in his contract that can be activated by certain clubs, including Real Madrid.
Before Germany's World Cup opener against Curacao, Schlotterbeck addressed the rumors about his potential transfer.
"Yes, you hear about things like this through the media, but my focus is on the World Cup and our first match," he said.
"We saw how an opening game can go in Qatar, and it's extremely important. That's why I'm not thinking about this right now."
